Local Homeowner Finds the Right Coverage Just in Time

Holly Guffey is a busy real estate agent with ERA Integrity Real Estate and was overall happy with her previous insurance company. When her original insurance agent left, however, she had not met the new agent. It didn’t feel right to keep her insurance with that company when they didn’t know her or understand her insurance needs.

“Stacie Wrightsman of Lewis Insurance asked me to let her quote my insurance and see if she could be competitive, and I thought it would be a good idea,” Holly shared. “She not only saved me money on my vehicle insurance with equivalent coverage, she could also offer homeowners insurance that was substantially better in comparison to my coverage at the time for the same annual premium.”

Holly especially appreciates the fact that her insurance policy with Lewis Insurance features Replacement Cost Value (RCV) and not Actual Cash Value (ACV). Policies with ACV incorporate the depreciated aspect of a home, while RCV policies cover the cost of replacement. For example, a roof insured with an ACV policy that is 15 years old and gets damaged in a storm would only get a certain percentage of replacement cost covered, due to the depreciated value of the roof. A roof with RCV coverage is fully replaced, no matter how old it is.

“I made an insurance claim due to hail damage on my roof, gutters and downspouts and my insurance paid full Replacement Cost Value (RCV),” Holly noted. “Had this happened with my old insurance company I only had Actual Replacement Value and would have potentially had to pay out of pocket for the full replacement.”

Holly knows that Stacie and the team at Lewis Insurance have her best interests in mind.

“Stacie is quick to respond and if she doesn't have the answer, she will find it for you,” Holly expressed. “She goes above for her customers and I would refer her to anyone looking for insurance.”
